Article Screening Process Evaluation, Assessment, and Publication of Articles
- Acceptance or Rejection of Articles
The editorial board conducts initial screening of submitted articles and informs authors of acceptance or rejection within 30 days of submission. If an article does not conform to the journal's standards or criteria, the editorial team will provide feedback and allow authors 15 days to make necessary revisions. Articles may be rejected if they do not meet quality standards, fall outside the journal's scope, or if authors fail to address reviewers' comments within the specified timeframe.
- Article Evaluation
After initial screening, selected articles undergo evaluation by two peer reviewers chosen by the editorial board based on expertise relevant to the article's content. Reviewers provide feedback on whether the article meets publication criteria set by the journal. Reviewers' identities remain confidential (double-blinded review). The evaluation process typically takes about one month per article.
- Evaluation Results
Articles that pass the peer review process must address reviewers' comments. Failure to address comments may result in rejection. Articles rejected by both reviewers will not proceed to publication. Articles rejected by one reviewer out of two will be evaluated by a third reviewer. If the article is rejected again, it will not be published.
- Notification of Evaluation Results
The editorial team will inform authors of evaluation results within 15 days of receiving feedback from the final reviewer. Authors must address reviewers' suggestions or revisions within 15 days of notification. If authors disagree with reviewers' suggestions, they must provide detailed explanations for the editorial board's consideration.
- Acceptance for Publication
Revised articles are re-evaluated by the editorial board for format, language, and readability. Upon approval, authors are notified, marking the final acceptance date (revised), and publication approval date (accepted).
- Article Publication
Accepted articles are published via the CMU Journal of Law and Social Sciences online platform (ThaiJO) within June or December.
Open Access Policy
The journal offers immediate open access to its content, promoting global knowledge exchange. There are no publication fees at any stage of the process.
