Abstract

In the new period of deepening education reform, how to train applied medical students with both ability and political integrity and strong competitive advantage in employment has attracted widespread attention from the country, society, and university educators. Volunteer activities are an effective way for medical students to develop their self-education ability, so that they can acquire knowledge, talents and dedication in the activities. At the same time, the improvement of the overall quality of medical students and the improvement of their competitive advantages in employment will also drive the overall improvement of the medical level, which is more conducive to protecting the health of the people and promoting social harmony and stability. Therefore, studying the influence of medical students' voluntary service on their employment competitive advantage has important theoretical and practical significance. The statistical software was used to process and analyze the survey data to verify the research hypothesis. The conclusion of the study is that volunteering for medical students has a positive impact on promoting the development of medical students’ competitive advantage in employment. The influencing factors of employment competitive advantage include the following four aspects: social responsibility, professional knowledge skill level, problem solving and frustration tolerance.
