A Study of Guidelines Development for the Promotion of Public Mind Among Students of Ban Pong Pa Primary School, Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research aims to study guidelines for the promotion of public mind among primary school students. Seven informants were selected by purposive sampling method. The informants were expertise in field of executives, teachers responsible for organizing public mind activities in the educational institutions and the moral school project of OBEC, as well as the supervisors in the educational area who was responsible for the moral school project of OBEC. Research tool was list of inquiries. Information obtained from Informants were guidelines for the promotion of public mind among primary school students. For statistical analysis, qualitative analysis was performed. Research results have found that guidelines for the promotion of public mind among primary school students include integrating activities into eight learning groups or student competency development activities. These activities should be appropriate with students’ age and level. Students should learn from the real situation. In addition, they should learn from surrounding environment both at home and school. All school activities should be arranged continuously with everyone participatory. Students’ public mind should be raised. There should be leaders for activities of professional learning community process. Support, reflection, and outcome measurement should be systematically performed to figure out whether ongoing activities will achieve the objectives or not. This is to be used as guidelines for the development of explicit public mind activity.
