ทัศนคติต่อการจ้างงานของผู้ให้บริการการดูแลบริบาลผู้สูงอายุในประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มุ่งเน้นศึกษาทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับการจ้างงานของผู้ให้บริการด้านการดูแลบริบาลในสถานบริบาลสำหรับผู้สูงอายุภายใต้การบริหารจัดการโดยหน่วยงานภาครัฐจากส่วนกลางและท้องถิ่น องค์กรไม่แสวงหากำไร และภาคเอกชนในประเทศไทย ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการศึกษาเป็นข้อมูลจากการสำรวจรวบรวมด้วยการทอดแบบสอบถามทางไปรษณีย์แก่ผู้ให้บริการดูแลบริบาลในสถานบริบาลในทุกภูมิภาคของประเทศ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ผู้ให้บริการดูแลบริบาลผู้สูงอายุมีทัศนคติที่ดีในระดับหนึ่งต่องานและสถานบริบาลที่ทำงานอยู่ แต่ก็ยังมีปัญหาหรือข้อกังวลเกี่ยวกับการบริหารจัดการของผู้บริหาร การให้บริการแก่ผู้สูงอายุและครอบครัวที่มารับบริการ การสื่อสารระหว่างตนเองกับผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องในสถานบริบาล และความคาดหวังเกี่ยวกับโอกาสในการเลื่อนตำแหน่ง ปัญหาเหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความรีบด่วนในการกำหนดนโยบายเพื่อปรับปรุงคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ให้บริการการดูแลบริบาลแก่ผู้สูงอายุ ข้อเสนอแนะด้านนโยบายประกอบไปด้วย 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ การแยกประเภทการให้บริการของสถานบริบาลตามระดับความสามารถในการทำงานทางกายภาพของผู้มารับบริการ การเปิดโอกาสในการสร้างวิชาชีพที่หลากหลายมากขึ้นด้านการดูแลบริบาลผู้สูงอายุโดยสถาบันการศึกษาทั้งที่เป็นหลักสูตรในระบบ นอกระบบ และการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต และการกำกับดูแลด้านระบบคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการดูแลบริบาลผู้สูงอายุ
