Factors influencing workplace happiness of personnel in Thawi Watthana district office

Abstract

          This study aimed to 1) investigate the level of workplace happiness and organizational factors of personnel, 2) explore the organizational factors influencing workplace happiness of the personnel, and 3) propose guidelines for creating workplace happiness of personnel in the Thawi Watthana District office. Samples comprised of 269 workers of Thawi Watthana with 3 key informants, head of the department, and an officer.

          The findings from the study revealed that: 1) overall work happiness and organizational factors were at a high level; 2) organizational factors that influence the most happiness consisted of 6 aspects: policy and administration, work environment, welfare, workplace relationships, career progress, and leadership; and 3) creating work happiness needs a balance between work and personal life to manage matters more efficiently. The leader must have a clear vision and policy for smooth operations including creating a good environment and relationship for both the leader and colleagues.
