Abstract

            This study is only part of the thesis on "The role of elderly care workers the family relationship: The case study of Bangkok and vicinity" in which the researcher wrote an article on the part of “The working condition of elderly care workers in Bangkok and vicinity”, Objective to study Differences of formal and informal care workers. Which is a study of the differences in careers for the elderly. The researcher has focused on the caregiver profession for caring for the elderly and patients. Because it is a career that requires knowledge and expertise care skills, give love and care for the elderly and have patience in working. From the study of the differences of the elderly care workers. The researcher has divided the differences of the care workers into 5 issues, which are 1. Career Path 2. Contract 3. Standard of work 4. Wage and welfare and5. Working hours. In order to study the employment of the center care, who will choose the care workers to us and the employer will choose by itself, contracting between employer and employee attending a caring training course, payroll commission deduction, welfare received such as accommodation, food, and starting work. Therefore need to study the differences because they will be able to choose the elderly care workers in a pleasing way talk and understand, able to take good care of the elderly and patients as well because there are not many elderly people who still need close supervision from those around them.
