The evaluation and learning reflection of Eco-School project, Tessaban 3 (Ban Bo) school

Abstract

          The research was to study project evaluation, study the guidelines and to visualize the lessons learned the institute for Eco-School Project of Tessaban 3 (Banbo) School. Assessment model using Stufflebeam’s CIPPiest Evaluation, the quantitative and qualitative data was analyzed to conclude the evaluation result. The samples were 4 groups, 48 teachers, 13 basic education committees, 274 parents and 274 students. The qualitative data (specific random) has got from teachers, basic education committees, parents and students, 4 people per group, total 16 people by selective selection. The quantitative data was analyzed by computer programs by using percentage, mean, standard deviation and contents analyzed was the qualitative data.

          The results of the study revealed that: 1) The evaluation of the Eco-School project of Tessaban 3 (Banbo) School was overall and in each aspect at the high level, ranking in order of mean from high to low were productive, context, input, effectiveness, knowledge transfer, estimation of the effects, process and sustainable.  2) the guidelines of the Eco-School project, Tessaban 3 (Banbo) should promote energy saving, rapid create a subconscious mind to use energy economically through recycled materials such as plastic bags, water bottles, paper boxes, and reduce waste. Moreover, students should focus on going into the real practice area with folk wisdom as knowledgeable in the rehabilitation and conservation of nature. The real practice will make students have service mind, and also have a sense of love, cherish resources because they feel the local environment belong them. The school should promote using local material in learning activities, reuse material and reduce waste. 3) the learning reflection can suggest that Tessaban 3 (Banbo) should clearly define the activities in the project, and also to establish measures to conserve energy and the environment continuously throughout the academic year. School personnel should live as role models for the community in energy and environmental conservation, such as recycling waste, reuse, reduce plastic bag using, reduce energy expenditures in school missions etc. The results of Eco-School project should reduce the monthly electricity bill and the water bill should be reduced by at least 5 percent.
