Lessons learned on Pre-service teachers’ english camp management through experiential learning

The main objectives of this research were to identify the lessons learned on English camp management of pre-service teachers through experiential learning and to create a model for managing a good English camp. The research was divided into 2 phrases. The first was to study the levels of knowledge and understanding, and ability to manage English camps of pre-service teachers through experiential learning and their opinions in order to identify a sample group. Phrase 2 was to study pre-service teachers’ opinions to collect lessons learned and create a model for managing an English camp for pre-service teachers through experiential learning. The population was 264 students enrolling in the academic year 2020 in the English Studies Department, Facultyof Education and Development Sciences Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus, with a sample size of 193 people, obtained by purposive sampling with the sample group's consent to participate in the research. The tools used consisted of an assessment of knowledge and understanding of English camp management, a questionnaire and group interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, percentage, Pearson Correlation, and One-Way Analysis of Variance while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study found that students were able to reflect on their experiences of organizing English camps to show their knowledge and understanding and their ability to manage camps as well as pointing out the important factors in organizing an English camp in order to create a model that is a guideline for organizing a successful English camp.
