Abstract

          The purposes of this research were 1) to study the conditions and the guidelines for the driving and the expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach of Phradabos School, 2) to synthesize the components for the driving and the expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach of Phradabos School, 3) to develop a model for the driving and the expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach of Phradabos School, and 4) to provide a policy recommendation for the driving and the expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach of Phradabos School. The research instrument was a questionnaire conducted with 189 persons who were 18 school administrators, 46 teachers, 19 volunteer teachers, 75 students, and 31 representatives from private companies. For drafting the model, 18 academic persons and experts were used. Focus group discussion was respectively used with 12 participants for checking the appropriateness of the model. The assessment of the model was further conducted with 20 participants to assess on the appropriateness, the possibility, and the utility of the model. The assessed and developed model was used for a tryout with 5 pilot schools in the academic year of 2019. After the tryout of the model with those pilot colleges, the developed model was further implemented and operated in other 12 colleges in the academic year of 2020. Percentage, mean, S.D., and content analysis were used for data analysis of this research.

          The findings were as follows: 1) The conditions of driving and the expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman throught the approach of Phradabos School was at the moderate level. The findings on the guidelines for the driving and the expansion of the projects were based on Input, Process, and Output. For input, the guidelines would be on the necessity of a committee for driving and the expansion the project, the policy and the students selection, well managed students’ administration, and the preparation for environment and facility. For process, PDCA cycle or Deming cycle should be used. For output, there should be the evaluation of the performances and success of the project including the assessment of the competency of students on morality, skill, preferable characteristics, knowledge, and relevant skill for working application. 2) The finding on the components of the driving and the expansion the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach the Phradabos School were based on Input, Process, and Output. For input, there were 3 sub-components. For process, PDCA cycle would be used for the driving and the expansion of the projects. For output, there should be the componets on the competency of students on morality, skill, preferable characteristics, knowledge, relevant skill for working application and responsibility. 3) The findings on model for the driving and the  expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach of Phradabos School were based on Input, Process, and Output. For Input , there were 3 sub-components and 24 indicators. For Process, there should be 4 steps of PDCA cycle. For Output, there should be 5 indicators. Accordingly, the findings on the appropriateness, the possibility and the utility of the model were at the highest levels. For the findings on the use of the developed model, it was at very high level for both satsifaction and achivement. According to the students regarding the developed model, it revealed that the score on students’ morality, ethics,  preferable characteristics, knowledge, relevant skill for working application and responsibility were at very high level, the percentage of students passing Nationals Skill Standards Tests was 96.64 percent, the achievement percentage of the graduates with employement and entrepreneur was 100 percent, and students’ satisfaction towards the driving and the expansion of the projects was at the highest levels. 4) The findings on the policy recommendation for the driving and the expansion of the vocational project to provide craftsman through the approach of Phradabos School were on the provision of the educational opportunities for poor students to study in the colleges under the projects in order to have vocational skills of living and working and 30 more colleges to be under the project was recommended.
