Guidelines for the management of Ban Tham Suea village Ao Luek Tai subdistrict, Ao Luek district, Krabi province

Abstract

          This phenomenological qualitative research aimed 1) to study the circumstance of community-based tourism management at Tham Suea village Ao Luek Tai subdistrict, Ao Luek district, Krabi province 2) to present guidelines for the management of Tham Suea village Ao Luek Tai subdistrict, Ao Luek district, Krabi province. The data collecting was sought by the documents, textbooks, articles, e-documents related as well as focus group conducted with those involved at tourist attractions in the community and experts in tourism. The content analysis was employed to analyze the data.

          The finding showed that 1) in the aspect of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) in the circumstance of community-based tourism management at Tham Suea village Ao Luek Tai subdistrict, Ao Luek district, Krabi province 2) Guideline for the management of Tham Suea village Ao Luek Tai subdistrict, Ao Luek district, Krabi province as follow: 2.1) guideline for the management of tourist attractions, products and services 2.2) guideline for the management of supporting infrastructure and amenities and 2.3) guideline for the management of tourism human capital’s potential.
