Abstract

          This research is qualitative research to study the training methods for developing unskilled foreign workers in enterprises in the electrical and electronic assembly industry to have characteristics as required. Study on the Eastern Economic Corridor The samples used in this research was electrical and electronic industry operators in the Eastern Economic Corridor of 15 places. Data were collected from interviews and selecting a specific sample group.

          The results showed that.  (1) knowledge of the necessary operations Use the teaching method by teaching how to perform the task correctly To allow foreign workers to know the correct procedures and methods of operation Process steps Forms of use of various raw materials into machines problem analysis along with preliminary solutions.  (2) The ability to perform the tasks that are responsible Use the internship method in real-life situations. Including teaching work and giving practice in the real place. To make foreign workers familiar with the environment and can adapt quickly. (3) good behavior Use the method of telling with narration. by telling foreign workers to do their job well without having to have someone to control or monitor all the time responsible Distinguish between personal and work matters.  (4) good health use show method Simulating situations for migrant workers to see methods such as maintaining personal hygiene Wear appropriate and modest clothing. Able to work well under stress. (5) Relationship with others Uses the role-playing method. By providing migrant workers who have been trained to play roles based on fictional stories to be like real situations. so that migrant workers are ready and able to adapt to various situations.  (6) communication skills Use the nanny system method. which provides foreign workers with experience in working Communicate and exchanging ideas with colleagues. including creating a nanny/buddy system Help recommend as well as requiring continuous assessment of the performance. (7) For other skills, use the study tour method. by allowing foreign workers to see how to work that foreign workers can apply in their work and can adapt/adjust the way of working following the current situation
