Guidance Activities Package, Resilience, the Older PersonsAbstract
This study aimed to 1) compare a resilience in an experimental group of the older Persons in 3th age University before and after using a guidance activities package, 2) compare a resilience after using the guidance activities package of the experimental group and a control group. This research design was quasi-experimental. The samples were 30 older Persons in 3th age University in Chiang-rai Province who had score from a resilience questionnaire below 50 percentile and they volunteered into the study. Then, simple sampling was done to divide them into 2 groups, the experimental group and the control, 15 patients in each group. Research instruments were 1) the resilience questionnaires with Alpha’s Cronbach Coefficient reliability of .87, and 2) the guidance activities package to develop a resilience. The statistics were mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The results showed that 1) after receiving the guidance activities package, the experimental group of older Persons in 3th age University had a resilience higher than before with statistical significance at the level of 0.1, and 2) after receiving the guidance activities package, the experimental group of older Persons in 3th age University had a resilience higher than the control group with statistical significance at the .01 level.
