Cross-cultural adaptation of employees in multinational companies: A case study of Runergy PV Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Phase 4, Nong Yai District, Chonburi Province

Cross-cultural Adaptation of Employees in Multinational Companies: A Case Study of Runner G PV Technology Thailand Co., Ltd. Phase 4, Nong Yai District, Chonburi Province. This quantitative research aimed to: 1) study the level of cross-cultural adaptation among employees in multinational companies, specifically at Runner G PV Technology Thailand Co., Ltd. Phase 4, and 2) compare employees' adaptation based on personal characteristics including gender, education level, monthly income, and duration of residence in Thailand. The sample consisted of 35 Chinese employees at Runner G PV Technology Thailand Co., Ltd. Phase 4. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and T-test. The findings revealed that: 1) The overall cross-cultural adaptation level of employees was high (X̄=4.39, S.D=0.78). Specifically, work adaptation was high (X̄=3.83, S.D=1.42), physical and mental health adaptation was very high (X̄=4.65, S.D=0.56), personal relationship adaptation was very high (X̄=4.57, S.D=0.60), and living condition adaptation was very high (X̄=4.52, S.D=0.57). 2) Comparative analysis showed that female employees adapted better in terms of physical and mental health and living conditions compared to male employees. Employees with bachelor's degrees showed better work adaptation than those with lower educational levels but demonstrated lower physical and mental health adaptation. Employees earning 20,001-30,000 baht showed better adaptation in work, personal relationships, and living conditions compared to those earning more than 30,000 baht. Employees with high Thai language proficiency and those who had lived in Thailand for more than 3 years showed better adaptation in all aspects. Age differences did not affect adaptation levels.This study contributes to the management of multinational personnel in companies operating in Thailand, enhances international investment by reducing cultural barriers that may affect business operations, and helps companies design effective support programs for foreign employees.
