Study of Problems Arising from the Enforcement of the Professional Sports Promotion Act 2013: A Case Study of the Volleyball Association of Thailand

Sports associations in Thailand face legal problems regarding their operations due to the enforcement of the Professional Sports Promotion Act 2556. This research aims to 1. To study the problems arising from the enforcement of the Professional Sports Promotion Act 2556: A case study of the Volleyball Association of Thailand 2. To propose guidelines for resolving and improving operations related to the enforcement of the Professional Sports Promotion Act 2556: A case study of the Volleyball Association of Thailand. This research uses a mixed quantitative and qualitative research methodology. The sample group consists of executives of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, executives of professional sports clubs, professional athletes, sports personnel, and professional volleyball competition organizers, totaling 260 people, randomly selected from a total population of 678 people using the purposive sampling method. The data collection tool is a questionnaire that has been tested for content validity by experts and has a value of 0.90 and has been tested for reliability using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which has a value of 0.94.
The quantitative research results found that: The problems from the enforcement of the Professional Sports Promotion Act 2013, a case study of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, were overall at a moderate level, with a mean of 3.30 and a standard deviation of 0.58. The qualitative research results from the focus group discussions found that resolving the problems of clubs and the Volleyball Association of Thailand under the Professional Sports Act requires comprehensive action in all dimensions, including law, finance, management, athlete care, and marketing and communication. These actions will help promote the potential of volleyball in the country to be sustainable and able to compete effectively at the international level.
