Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study physical area survey of tram stop and the students’ satisfaction with improvement landscape of the tram stop in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. Moreover, design guidelines were suggested for the improvement landscape of the tram stop in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The samples were 370 undergraduate students. Questionnaires were used as a research tool. Data were analyzed, using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and           t-test. The results found that students’ satisfaction with the improvement landscape of the tram stop. The satisfaction level regarding the hardscape was at a high level, while the softscape was at a moderate level, and the overall satisfaction was at a high level. The analysis of the comparison of student satisfaction based on gender showed significant statistical differences at the 0.05 level. Recommendations for improving the tram stop landscape design include ensuring the location is appropriate and safe, integrating elements of the tram stop design with both hardscape and softscape features that are simple and harmonious. Additionally, it is suggested to choose plant species suitable for the environment that provide shade and aesthetic appeal.
