Creation of Play Scripts: My Moon My Man

Abstract

This article contemplates the creation process of stage-play script: My Moon My Man. The objective is to study details of creation process, how to write play script and individual techniques of the script writer. This study involves new construction of play script and the actual perform of the stage-play: My Moon My Man.

The article result shows that the creative process comes from “Original Script” (บทดั่งเดิม) which is the main content originated from surrounding environments, current events, social while the writer possesses individual techniques that make uniqueness of the play. The narration of the scriptwriter has direct impact on the thinking and understanding of the play, while the important thing is to communicate the main content to reach the audience or reader. The script was inspired by Situation, News, Social Context, History and Writer Life. Thus, the script writing process consists of Building Inspiration, Reading, Researching, Improvise and Rehearsal, Making Plot, Treatment and Play-text.
