Development of the Instructional Package of Effective Thai Writing for First Year Students of Rangsit University

Abstract

The purposes of this research were as follow: 1) to develop and assess the instructional packages on the Course of Effective Thai Writing, 2) to compare the achievement of students before and after using the instructional packages, and 3) to examine the attitude of students toward the instructional packages. The subjects were 40 undergraduate students who enrolled in Effective Thai Writing subject (THA 220) in the second semester of the academic year 2017. They were selected by purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this research were: 1) the instructional packages on the course of Effective Thai Writing, 2) pretest and posttest, and 3) questionnaire asking students’opinions. The research was done by having students try out the instructional packages to determine efficiency. Data were collected and analyzed by the use of mean, percentage, standard deviation and t-test. The results of this research indicated that the instructional packages on the course of Effective Thai Writing has the efficiency rate of 82.78/82.83 level which is higher than the set criteria. In addition, the scores of students after using the instructional packages were higher than before using the instructional packages. Students’ scores are significantly different at .05 and the students have a good attitude towards this instructional package. Keywords: Instructional Package, Effective Thai Writing.
