The Impact of the Women's Empowerment Fund : Problems and Guidelines for Implementation

Abstract

"Women Empowerment Fund", is a source of working capital for career development, job opportunities, and income for capability development and women's network. Increasing the leadership role of women allows society to understand women's problems as well as promoting the welfare of women through women's organizations in every province. It aims to support and promote Thai women as a major force in the development of the country. This fund not only supports women with problems but also the problem of rights abused in women and gives importance to the development of the potential for Thai women to be strong. Moreover, it aims to develop women's networks to play a role in solving problems and developing the country. However, within such a policy there is also social inequality where some groups cannot be accessed and the inequality and the opportunity for all women to have equal access to the Women's Empowerment Fund remains very little. Many factors affect the success or uncertainty of the Women's Empowerment Fund, because each strategy still lacks clarity.
