การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษากระบี่ ตามกรอบความคิดแบบเติบโต 2) นำเสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษากระบี่ ตามกรอบความคิดแบบเติบโต การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา ประชากร คือ โรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษากระบี่ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนจำนวน 138 โรงเรียน กำหนดขนาดกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยใช้ตารางของเครสซีและมอร์แกน ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้บริหารโรงเรียน และรักษาการในตำแหน่งผู้บริหารโรงเรียน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ คือ แบบสอบถามเพื่อการวิจัย และแบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของ (ร่าง) แนวทางฯ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย มัธยฐาน ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ฐานนิยม และการวิเคราะห์ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) สภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษากระบี่ ตามกรอบความคิดแบบเติบโต ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ( = 2.83, SD = 0.96) และระดับมาก ( = 4.29, SD = 0.64) ตามลำดับ เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้านพบว่า การเชื่อว่าความสามารถทางปัญญาสามารถพัฒนาได้ มีสภาพที่พึงประสงค์และลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด นอกจากนี้ เมื่อพิจารณาจากวิธีการพัฒนาพบว่า การพัฒนาแบบผสมผสานหลากหลายวิธี มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นที่สูงที่สุด และ 2) แนวทางการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษากระบี่ ประกอบด้วย 4 แนวทางตามคุณลักษณะของกรอบความคิดแบบเติบโต
