DEVELOPMENT OF OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR HEALTHY SCHOOLS AFFILIATED WITH LOCAL ADMINISTRATION ORGANISATION, TAK PROVINCE

This study aimed to: 1) study the components and indicators of healthy school operational guidelines; 2) study the current and the desired conditions of the schools; and to 3) develop operational guidelines for healthy school. Population were schools affiliated with the local administrators Organization of Tak Province. Responders were 130 school administrator and teachers in school hygiene promotion department. Tools used in the study were questionnaires, evaluation forms, and interview. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the basic features of the data in this study, which were mean, standard deviation, and the index of importance on needs for improvement. The study found that; There were 5 components and 14 indicators for healthy school operational promotion. The components were; 1) The happy student 2) The happy school 3) The happy environment 4) The happy family and 5) The happy community.It also revealed that there were 6 indicators for the happy student component, 3 indicators for the happy school component, 1 indicator for the happy environment component, 3 indicators for the happy family component, and there was 1 indicator for the happy community component. The current conditions of the healthy school operation were at a high level in all aspects, while the desirable conditions of the healthy school operation was at a very high level in all aspects. There were 6 guidelines for the happy student component, 5 guidelines for the happy school component, 4 guidelines for the happy environment component, 6 guidelines for the happy family component, and there were 5 guidelines for the happy community component.
