A Needs Assessment of Academic Administration of Secondary Schools in Bangkok Based on The Concept of Green Citizen Competency Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The proposes of this research were to study a need assessment of academic administration of secondary schools in Bangkok based on the concept of Green Citizens Competency learning outcomes. This study applied a survey research approach, focusing on both quantitative and qualitative data. The study population consisted of 238 school administrators and teachers serving as head of academic administration in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Bangkok. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire on the need assessment of academic administration of secondary schools in Bangkok based on the concept of Green Citizens Competency learning outcome with the reliability value of 0.931. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNImodified analysis.

          The research result revealed that the current and desirable conditions of the academic administration of secondary schools in Bangkok according to the concept of learning outcomes of green citizenship in general were at the medium level ( = 3.067, SD = 0.569) and at the highest level (  = 4.603, SD = 0.492), respectively. The data was analyzed by PNImodified revealed that the curriculum development of schools was the most needed (PNImodified = 0.508), followed by measurement and evaluation (PNImodified = 0.500), the use of media and learning resources (PNImodified = 0.497) and instructional (PNImodified = 0.496)
