Proposed Guidelines Development of Digital Literacy for School Administrator under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nan

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the digital literacy of school administrators and the guidelines to promote digital literacy of school administrators under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nan. There are research methods as follows: Step 1 the study of digital literacy of school administrators. The sample group consisted of 62 administrators acquired by Purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire of digital literacy of school administrators with reliability at 0.974. The collected data were analyzed by mean and standard deviation. Step 2 the study of guidelines to promote digital literacy. The informant group was 5 experts acquired by Purposive sampling. The in-depth interview was used to collecting the informations, then analyzed the data by content analysis.

The results found that

1) Digital literacy of school administrators overall was at a high level (  = 4.12). When considering by each aspect, it was found that the highest aspect was evaluating digital data, which were at a high level. The lowest aspect was the creating content with the digital, were at a high level.

2) The guidelines to promote digital literacy of school administrators found that The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nan should support the creation
of knowledge and understanding for school administrators to use digital technology in their school management according to the school’s mission. Including supervision, monitoring, and promotion of the use of digital technology to respond to the policy and goals of developing school administration in the digital era.
