NEEDS TO ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT OF GOVERNMENT VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COLLEGES IN SAMUTPRAKAN PROVINCE BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF INDUSTRIAL HABITS

Abstract

This Research is descriptive research, aims to study the current and the desirable states and assess the priority needs of academic development of government vocational education colleges in Samutprakan province based on the concept of industrial habits. The informants’ contributors are school directors, deputy directors, and teachers in government vocational education colleges in Samutprakan province were 186 personnel. The research instrument was a questionnaire, the current and the desirable states. The data were analyzed by frequency, mean, standard deviation and priority needs index modified.

          The findings showed that the overall current of academic development of government vocational education colleges in Samutprakan province based on the concept of industrial habits were at the high level, and desirable states were at the highest level. The priority needs to Academic Development of government vocational education colleges in Samutprakan province based on the concept of industrial habits was Teaching and learning, followed by curriculum development, followed by measurement and evaluation. and professional competence training, respectively.
