Policy Decision-Making Process for Integrating the Institute of Physical Education into National Sports University

Abstract

This article aims to study the policy-making process for integrating the institute of physical education into a national sports university. This study used a qualitative research method and collected data by doing semi-structured interviews with key informants involved in the policy decision-making and documentary research of the policy. Then conducted content analysis to find the consistency of various information to describe the results of the study. From the result found that the policy-making process for integrating the institute of physical education into a national sports university consist of 3 steps: the formation of policy, the policy formulation and the policy decision making.  Each step of the policy-making process shows model of policy-making and actors who related to this policy.
