Study of Agricultural Tourism Development Guidelines Kut Wa Subdistrict, Kuchinarai District, Kalasin Province.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to study the agricultural tourism potentials of Kut Wa subdistrict, Kuchinarai district, Kalasin province and to provide the agricultural tourism development guidelines of Kut Wa subdistrict, Kuchinarai district, Kalasin province. This study was done through the qualitative research methodology with the interview of stakeholders of Kut Wa subdistrict including government officials who were in charge of specifying the policy for tourism development of Kut Wa subdistrict and the farmers who own the agricultural tourism attractions in Kut Wa subdistrict. The results revealed that : The agricultural tourism attractions of Kut Wa subdistrict, Kuchinarai district, Kalasin province had the potentials in aspects such as the activities of agricultural tourism responding the needs of tourists in all ages, the suitable facilities, and the management that meets the standard of agricultural tourism. The agricultural tourism attractions of Kut Wa subdistrict have been ready for welcoming tourists. The owner of each farm could be the tourist guide presenting information about vegetables planting and activities to tourists which they could learn and experience the new things of agriculture. Moreover, vegetables grown in the farm could be sold as souvenirs for tourists. This needs the good management for receiving the increasing of tourists to avoid the problem that might directly affect the attractions. Consequently, the potentials evaluation of the agricultural attractions was so crucial for each farm to be aware of strength and weaknesses for the improvement for the better quality and unique. The recommendations for promoting the agricultural tourism attractions of Kut Wa subdistrict, Kuchinarai district, Kalasin province were: 1) conduct the public relation for the more acknowledgement, 2) coordinate with the related government agencies to get the budget for the development to be the interesting tourist attractions, 3) ask for the support of experts to provide guidelines for improving the tourist attraction to be more interesting, and 4) improve the access, convenience, and safety of this tourism route.
