The Management of Community Enterprise Group: Learning from Saving Community Enterprise Group for Production of Ban Phon Phaeng, Din Chi, Kham Muang, Kalasin

Abstract

This research article aims to study: 1. management state; 2. management factors; and 3. problems and recommendations of saving community enterprise group for production of Ban Phon Phaeng, Din Chi, Kham Muang, Kalasin. It uses a mixed research method. A qualitative research was collected data by in-dept interview with the leader and some members. A quantitative research was collected data by a questionnaire with 65 samples by specific sampling. Statistics explains the data such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and typological analysis. The result of study found that: in part of the quantitative result, members’ age is between 41-50 years old, accounting for 32.3 percent, marital status is 55.4 percent, education level is elementary school, accounted for 70.8 percent, the duration of group membership between 16 -20 years, accounted for 56.9 percent, income between 6,001-8,000 baht, accounted for 27.7 percent. For management state is at the best level and the best element is a facilitator. Moreover, overall management factor is at the best level and the best element is product manufacturing. In term of the problem is network management, production capability, lack of interest in the new generation, the problem with the COVID-19 epidemic, unclear management within the group, lack of leadership managerial skills. Additionally, Suggestions should have a market or place to market the product, opening a learning center passing knowledge to children and interested people, a public relations media in product sales and an outside agency to support the teaching of sewing through machines.
