The Center for Quality of Life Development and Career Promotion for the Elderly Talad Kreab Subdistrict Municipality: Current Status, Opportunities and Obstacles

This academic article aims to analyze the current situation, opportunities and obstacles in the management of the the Center for Quality of Life Development and Career Promotion for the Elderly (CQLDCPE) of Talad Kreab Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Pa-in District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Talad Kreab Subdistrict Municipality is aware of the elderly problem. Therefore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, established the CQLDCPE of Talad Kreab Sub-District Municipality. CQLDCPE bodies are managed in the form of committees. There is management in the form of a network of cooperation. Most of the budget comes from written projects requesting from government agencies and from donations from private agencies. Provincial social development and human security supports academic matters and network development opportunities. The strengths of CQLDCPE of Talad Kreab Sub-District Municipality are network working. The weakness is the lack of funding. The number of the elderly is attached to the house, and the change of municipal executive may be an obstacle to work. The concept of separating CQLDCPE from the municipality is an opportunity for CQLDCPE to make use of their strengths and overcome obstacles to be a center for improving the quality of life and promoting sustainable careers for the elderly.
