Quality of Life of Soldiers in the 1st Battalion Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment Security Forces Command

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) examine the level of quality of life among conscripted soldiers of Battalion 1, Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment, Air Defense Command; and 2) compare personal factors with the quality of life of these soldiers. The sample size was determined to be 201 using the Krejcie and Morgan formula, with participants selected through systematic random sampling. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed, and all were returned, yielding a response rate of 99.5%. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics of one-way analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA). The findings revealed that the overall quality of life of conscripted soldiers in Battalion 1, Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment, Air and Coastal Defense Command was at a high level. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of the relationship between length of service and quality of life, categorized by length of service, indicated that age and different educational levels led to statistically significant differences in perceptions of the overall quality of life of these conscripted soldiers at the 0.05 significance level.
