Abstract
The purpose of the creative music research Symphonic Suite for Wind and Electronic Orchestra is to create a new absolute music. 1) The composition has been employed variety of classical idioms and jazz music technique 2) Having been presented musical composing styles such as improvisation, Baroque,s counterpoint for wind and electronic orchestra. Using electronic instruments such as synthesizers and electric drums, which can produce multidimensional electronic sounds together with wind orchestra. The music composition inspired by the Thai traditional namely “Choed Jin” of Phra Praditpairao (Khru Meekhaek). The music composed in the reign of his Majesty King Mongkut, King Rama IV of Chakri Dynasty. The music was inspired to develop and modify the main melody using improvisational techniques and counterpoint of the Baroque’s counterpoint. The composition consists of a total of 4 movements: I. Moderato II. Andante dolce III. Scherzo IV. Allegro con brio. It is characterized as a musical composition that shows innovative and contemporary technique with exquisite arrangements that showcase are the musicians' high level of skill across a wide range of moods. The saxophone player has played an important role as the solo instrument competed with the orchestra, the highlight of this composition is the dimension of sound and the creativity of diversity invented melodies and completion of harmonies. The highlight of the piece was using complexed and extended chords in both diatonic, chromatic scales as well as their modulations. In the meantime, the dramatic decorating color to make the composition highlighted.
