Abstract

This article focuses primarily on a literature review on “Creative Tourism Activities at Koh Samed Island to find out the potential to be developed into a creative tourism destination. Today, behavior of tourist has changed. Apart from visiting beautiful attractions, tourists demand more participative activities and want to learn more about local culture as well as to exchange knowledge and experience with local people. New form of tourism focusing on creative experience emerges to response to this new need and to open a new platform where tourists and local people can interact.  Samed Island is rich in natural resources, local culture and local way of living. Analysis based on creative tourism framework shows that Samed Island has potential to be developed into a creative tourism destination which will change the image of Samed Island and it will offer alternative activities for tourists. This will open an opportunity for local people to earn extra income and lead to the development of sustainable tourism at Samed Island.
