THE POTENTIAL OF RURAL TOURISM BASED ON CREATIVE TOURISM IN UMPHANG DISTRICT, TAK PROVINCE

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the potentials of the rural tourism based on creative tourism of Umphang District, Tak Province. This research is quantitative methods, 400 samples of tourists who visited Umphang District, Tak Province were asked to do a questionnaire. The analysis of the data then was done using percentage, mean value, and standard deviation.
The research found that on the larger percentage of the tourists are married women with more than 50 years of age and bachelor's degree. Most are government employees with average monthly income of more than 30,000 Baht per month. They visit once with family. Their reason for the visit is to visit famous and popular sites. They do their research from the internet and their spending are between 1,001-2,000 Baht per person per day. The potentials of the rural tourism based on creative tourism of Umphang District, Tak Province are comprised of cultural capitals, participations, creativities, learning experience, shared and exchanged of knowledges and experiences between tourists and communities, activities, communications and marketings and the management of tourist attractions. Overall picture of the rating of 8 parts of the potentials of the rural tourism based on creative tourism is above average.
