Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the level of opinions on risk management in the electrical system inspection business in Thailand and 2) compare risk management categorized by organizational position and work experience. Data were collected from 152 corporate entities engaged in electrical system inspection using simple random sampling and a questionnaire. Statistics used included the mean, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance, and post hoc comparisons.

The research findings revealed that the overall level of opinion on risk management was at
a high level. Regarding comparative analysis, organizational position showed statistically significant differences at the .01 level in strategic risk and environmental, social, and governance risk, and at the .05 level in financial and budget risk. Work experience resulted in statistically significant differences at the .01 level across all aspects. Electrical inspection entrepreneurs should encourage project managers to participate in proactive strategic planning and establish a risk mentoring system for personnel.
