บทคัดย่อ

The objectives of this research were to study the new entrepreneurial characteristics of business performance potential, appreciation and social interactions that affected the competitive advantages in a start-up business and finally to study of the competitive advantage as a mediator factor that affected the business performance of the start-up business. The research samples were 163 new start-up entrepreneurs. This instrument was a 5-level scale questionnaire with content validity and reliability of data collection. The study data was analyzed by the descriptive statistics and tested hypotheses by analyzing Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and multiple regression analysis.


     The research results showed consciousness of responsibility in the business performance potential, appreciation, social interaction and start-up business performance had the positive influence on the competitive advantage of the startup business. The research results will be a guideline for adjusting behavioral development plans at all levels in small to large organizations to achieve the business performance in the future. However, the research found 5 sub-variables of business performance potential: commitment to success, proactive, business ethics, risk confrontation and continuous learning that didn’t influence on gaining competitive advantage, with theoretically supporting for the important reason that entrepreneurs need to understand and work out how to use these variables to support competitive advantage by lifelong learning and developing to succeed. Finally, the research found that the importance of entrepreneurial characteristics development should parallel run with the competitive advantage and business performance.
