Abstract
This article is a descriptive study of the Catholic Church’s teaching on civil union of the same-sex couple. The initial part of the study presents the actual situation of Thai civil union and its possibility to be promulgated.
The main part of the study focuses on the argumentations against any kinds of civil unions of the Catholic Church’s teaching. The argumentations are both based on the faith in the Bible and the reason derived from the nature of family that needs the figures of father and mother for raising their children. The practical guidelines for catholic politicians are also given.
