Foreword

          Being an institution offering higher education programs in Chinese and given the limitation of Chinese publications in Thailand, it was our obligation and determination not only to find publication outlets for students and academics but also to pursue academic excellence. This was what motivated us to develop Chinese Journal of Social Science and Management at Panyapiwat Institute of Management.As a result of rigorous work, determination, and the efforts of many, it is our great pleasure to inform you that Chinese Journal of Social Science and Management has been listed in the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI 2). Without the support from all our contributors, peers, readers, advisors, editors and management, we would not have been able to reach this milestone. Accordingly, we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude. In line with our tradition, we have accepted research articles from various institutions throughout Thailand. Specifically, in this issue we have 6 articles from 3 institutions (i.e. Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Siam University, and Panyapiwat Institute of Management). The articles cover diversified subjects such as customer purchase intentions, campus resource planning, communication in Chinese, property purchase decisions, Chinese language usage in the copper industry, and the influencing factors on tourism consumption.

          With more and more authors submitting papers, our next issue will be expanded to accept more articles. We hope that by being listed in TCI 2 and expanding the number of contributors, it will not only accommodate more scholarly research articles, but also expand the scope of our journal to reach other institutions in ASEAN and increase our academic readership and contributing capacity.
