Look Back, Look Forward on the Jurisprudence’s Writings in Thai

Abstract
This article is to study the dynamics of philosophy of law’s writing in Thai society since the 4 decades ago. These writings can be classified into 2 phases: firstly, the phrase of establishment, secondly, the phase of expansion.
The first phase, writings on philosophy of law have related closely with university programs and focus in 3 main schools of thought: Legal Positivism, Natural Law School and Historical School of Law. Later phase, these writings are not linked directly to the university programs and have expanded the scope to the knowledge of social sciences and humanities.
Limitations of knowledge on philosophy of law in Thai society depend on the education system which it has been influenced by legal profession, the superiority of the legal specialist to general lawyers. However, the rapid changes during last 2 decades in Thai society have challenged the knowledge of jurisprudence significantly.
