The Overlapping between Peaceful Law and the Law of Armed Conflict from the Use of Technologies in the Armed Conflict between Russia and Ukraine

Abstract

The current armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine shows us the use of daily life technologies.  For example, the use of cyber-attack during the time of conventional war, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, and the use of GPS with the anti-tank weapon system. The core research questions are first, How          the Dual-use character of technologies in armed conflict affect the application of International Humanitarian Law. Second, to what extent, Is the international humanitarian law apply to armed conflict in this situation and how.


The finding are first, even there are many overlapping of the area for dual-use technologies but it does not affect the principles of international humanitarian law, second, the integrate of the international humanitarian law and other laws will implement the application of law in armed conflict which has the character of dual-use technologies.
