Journal of East Asian and ASEAN Studies has been supported by the Faculty of Political Science, Ramkamheang University in publishing academic and research articles. This issue starts with the state level of analysis. The first article compares the changes in generating people’s participation and accountability of Thailand with those of the United States of America by indicating that attitude factors such as value and culture have an effect on the success of policies not less than changes in structural factors such as institutional and legal structures. The Second article concerns the state’s foreign policy by studying Vietnam’s ‘3 Nos’ Policy. It argues that the ‘3 Nos’ policy allows Vietnam to move closer to the United States while not antagonizing China. Added to this, Vietnam is able to hedge itself from the superpowers’ pressure while pursuing its own national interest. Then, we move towards the research papers that evaluate the state from different perspectives such as the leadership and organizational culture of Aircraft Rework Facility Center, Royal Thai Naval Air Division, Royal Thai Fleet and the public impacts of cannabis use for curing in Thailand. The final part concerns with the papers on area studies like a comparative study of demographic grouping on patients' satisfaction with the quality of new drug in China and postgraduate education service quality and student satisfaction of Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, China.

In the next issue, the editor team hopes to add more types of article such as review article and book review so that the diverse types of article could be more beneficial for students, academies, and researchers in Political Science to further their studies and make a new contribution in their academic works.
