Abstract

The current study aimed to explore 1) background information of Sorkabungthailoei, 2) its characteristics and method of playing, and 3) elements of music used to play as well as itssocial roles. An Observation and on interview were used as the material Data were collected from
a group of experts, documents and research studies, and other related texts. Besides, fieldwork was done in order to gather information. All of the collected data was analyzed and organized into qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The findings suggest as follows
