NEEDS FOR ENHANCING TEACHERS’ GROWTH MINDSET

The purposes of this research were to study 1) the existing and the desirable state of teachers’ growth mindset enhancement; 2) the need for enhancing teachers’ growth mindset. This study was descriptive research. The respondents were 26 teachers from Watbangkhuntiennok school. The research instrument was a rating-scaled questionnaire with Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient of 0.96. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified) and content analysis.
The major findings were as follows: 1. The existing state of teachers’ growth mindset enhancement was on the average level, the desirable state of teachers’ growth mindset enhancement was on the high level. 2. The needs for enhancing teachers’ growth mindset there were 4 aspects with the highest PNImodified values : 1) Persist in the face of setbacks, 2) Embrace challenges, 3) Find lessons and inspiration in the success of others and 4) Learn from criticism.
