Current and Desirable Conditions and Needs for Academic Management Development in Primary Schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Based on The Concept of Entrepreneurship Characteristic

This study was descriptive research. The objective of this research was to study the current state, desirable state and priority needs index for academic management development in primary schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration based on the concept of entrepreneurship characteristics. The sample group were 209 primary schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the total of 836 informants, which consisted of school director, deputy director of academic affairs, head of department, grade 6 representative students. Data were collected using questionnaires. The data were analyzed by finding percentage, mean, standard deviation, and PNImodified.
The research results were found that, the current state of academic administration in primary schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration overall results were at a high level. The desirable state results were at the highest level. When considering each aspect, the results were found that
1) The current state of school curriculum development was at the highest level ( = 4.165) and the teaching activities was the lowest level ( = 4.108). The desirable state of organizing extra-curricular activities was at the highest level ( = 4.716) and measurement and evaluation were the lowest level ( = 4.700). The priority needs was teaching activities (PNImodified = 0.145)
2) The current state of entrepreneurial characteristics in moral and reliable were at the highest level ( = 4.295), and the lowest level was taking risks ( = 3.777). The highest level of desirable state were moral and reliable ( = 4.779). The lowest level was taking risks ( = 4.510). The priority needs index was taking risks (PNImodified = 0.194).
