Abstract

      The research aimed to study current state, desired state and the priority needs index for developing management toward excellence for private vocational institutes’ entrepreneurship incubator centers in Lopburi province based on the concept of smart entrepreneur. This study applied a descriptive research method. Current and desired state of the management data were collected from population consisted of 6 private vocational institutes’ entrepreneurship incubator centers in Lopburi province with purposive sampling-selected 96 informants in total which were administrators, teachers, students and entrepreneurs by questionnaire which had high reliability with Cronbach alpha score at 0.947 and were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and modified priority needs index (PNImodified).
     The main finding revealed that the overall rate of current state for developing management toward excellence of private vocational institutes’ entrepreneurship incubator centers in Lopburi province based on the concept of smart entrepreneur was at moderate level ( X ̅=3.182, SD=0.758) while the overall rate of desired state was at very high level (X ̅=4.586, SD=0.499). The means were analyzed to find priority needs index. The results were found that customers were the most needed (PNImodified=0.514), respectively followed by workforce (PNImodified=0.484), measurement analysis and knowledge management PNImodified=0.482), strategy (PNImodified=0.415), leadership (PNImodified=0.412), results (PNImodified=0.398), and operations (PNImodified=0.392)
