Abstract

This research aims to synthesize teaching strategies to foster innovation by reviewing the literature systematically. The data sources include the TCI, SCOPUS and ERIC databases, focusing on publications from 2021 to 2023. The research utilizes three tools: 1) a research screening questionnaire 2) a research quality assessment questionnaire, and 3) a data extraction form. Statistical analysis and content analysis are employed for data analysis. Based on the qualifications of the researchers and experts, a total of 13 research studies were selected for examination. The findings suggest that creators of innovation should possess three key teaching strategies: 1) readiness preparation 2) planning and instructional design and 3) assessment and reporting. Additionally, it was found that individuals fostering innovation should develop and support important competencies among learners, including: 1) the ability to formulate questions to seek knowledge 2) observation and problem recognition, identifying connections 3) being experimental and testing-oriented to acquire new knowledge 4) data recording skills
5) responsibility towards social, economic, and environmental sustainability 6) seeking diverse and appropriate alternatives to problem-solving and seeking answers 7) building networks and intellectual connections 8) being an innovative leader and visionary planner, having risk-taking abilities and self-confidence 9) understanding problem contexts and the ability to define problems 10) utilizing platforms to access information resources 11) having creative and innovative thinking 12) being inspired and desiring success 13) being a practical practitioner with determination, ability, flexibility and resilience and 14) being able to work collaboratively with others.
