The objectives of this study were twofold: 1) to study the objectives and teaching approaches related to entrepreneurship, and 2) to investigate the problems, obstacles, and challenges of teaching entrepreneurship to promote entrepreneurial skills for students in the context of university teaching in Thailand. The study involved 28 instructors affiliated with Thai universities ranked in groups 1 and 2, with 14 instructors from each group, constituting 50% of the universities in each group.
The findings indicated that 71.43% of the instructors aimed to encourage students to apply entrepreneurial skills (Education through Entrepreneurship). The teaching approach was found to promote students' ability to apply entrepreneurial skills and learn how to create value for others. Additionally, the study identified the instructors' perspectives on the problems, obstacles, and challenges of teaching entrepreneurship. The challenges encompassed various dimensions such as university-level policies, instructor's perspectives, understanding the importance of entrepreneurial skills, and designing a curriculum that fosters a sustainable entrepreneurial mindset and lifestyle for students.
