Expectations of Public Administration Students toward Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus under the Situation of the COVID-19 Epidemic

Abstract

This research aimed 1) to study the level of the expectations of Public Administration students toward Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus under the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic and 2) to compare the level of the expectations of Public Administration students by demographic categorization. This research was quantitative study. The sample consisted of 250 students in Public Administration program. The statistical tools for data analysis were inclusive of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and, one-way ANOVA. As for expectations, there are 8 aspects as follows: 1) Curriculum 2) Instructors 3) Teaching management 4) Location and educational equipment 5) Student services 6) Social group              7) Student Activities 8) COVID-19 Epidemic management

The finding revealed that the average level of the expectations of Public Administration students toward Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus under the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic is overall ranked the high (= 3.46, S.D.= .451), in which the expectation for instructors is rated with the highest average scores, followed by curriculum, COVID-19 Epidemic management, social group, location and educational equipment, student services, student activities and teaching management, respectively. The results of comparing the level of expectations of Public Administration students, when classified by place of birth, number of siblings, order of being a child, father's occupation, mother's occupation, average of family income per month, father's education level and the marital status of the parents were not different. But the student had different gender and mother's education level had a significant difference in expectation at 0.05 and 0.01
