THE FOREIGN TOURISTS’ PERCEPTION OF POTENTIAL TOURIST ATTRACTIONS AND QUALITY SERVICES OF CULTURAL TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN RATTANAKOSIN ISLAND

Abstract

This research was conducted to achieve the following objectives: 1) to study the potential of cultural tourism sites in both inner and outer area of Rattanakosin Island based on tourists’ behavior, 2) to study the perception of foreign tourists on tourism sites in Rattanakosin Island, and 3) to study service quality in the cultural tourism sites within Rattanakosin Island provided by entrepreneurs based on tourist’s satisfaction. The data required were gathered via questionnaires participated by 400 accidental samples of foreign tourists who travelled to Thailand. After acquiring all the data, the researcher then proceeded with statistical analysis, consisting of frequency distribution, average, and percentage, and standard deviation before finally ran hypothesis testing via One Sample t-test and One-Way Anova.


      In conclusion, the research found that the potential of cultural tourist attractions in Rattanakosin Island highly corresponded to tourists’ behavior; tourists’ perception on cultural tourist attractions in the 3 aspects were in high level; foreign tourists’ satisfaction towards service quality in cultural tourist attractions also attained high level.
