The Influence of Personality Traits and Management of Supervisor on Work Engagement to Work Advancement of Employee in an Automotive Part Group, Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to investigate the influence of personalitytraits and managementof supervisors on work engagement and to study work engagement towards work advancement of employees. The sample of this study was 251 manufacturing workers at automotive parts group of a company, Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate. The samples were selected based on stratified random sampling. A questionnaire was used as a research instrument. The results of this study showed that supervisors’ personalitytraitsincluding agreeableness, openness to experience, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and supervisors’ management including controlling, leading, and organizing of work influenced work engagement of workers with a statistical significance level of 0.05. Work engagement was related to work advancement of workers. Therefore, an organization should develop personality traits and supervisors’ management as well as develop work advancement of workers in order to enhance work engagement.
