Evaluation of Graduate Thesis Quality at Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to evaluate the thesis quality of students at Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, who graduated between B.E. 2554 – 2558 and, 2) to compare the thesis quality of students at Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, who graduated between B.E. 2554 – 2558 classified by faculties. The samples were 61 theses of students at Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, who graduated between B.E. 2554 – 2558. The random sampling was used in terms of categorization according to the faculties through sample group proportion in each faculty; then the simple random sampling was carried out by lot according to the name lists of thesis method. The data collection was done by using the model of thesis quality evaluation created by researchers. The model consisted of 10 aspects and 29 issues. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and F-test.

Results could be concluded as follows:

1. The quality of the thesis is at the highest level. In terms of thesis, the quality of the thesis was at the highest level; summary of research results, tools, collection of data, data analysis, interpretation, population, research problems and research objectives. In the field of review literature, conceptual framework, research recommendations and the benefits of research. The thesis is of high quality.
2. The difference in theses' mean scores was statistically significant at .05. When considering the multiple comparisons, it was found that the quality of the thesis of Faculty of Education was different from Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology statistically significant at the .05.
