The Influence of Profitability on Stock Prices: A Case Study of Listed Companies in The Market for Alternative Investment (MAI)

Abstract
The main objective of this study was to test the influence of profitability on stock prices of listed companies in the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI). The population and sample were 111 listed companies in the MAI from 2015 to 2017. A descriptive analysis and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the return on equity and earnings per share had a positively significant influence on stock prices. The contribution of this study was to provide advantageous information to investors for decision-making on alternative capital markets in Thailand.
