The sample group was 605 civil servants. Data were collected using a measurement scale of a 5-level estimation scale with a confidence value between 0.88 - 0.97 and structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. The results found that the structural equation modeling analysis was consistent with the empirical data, with chi-square (gif.latex?x^{\2}) = 559.99, df = 125, p < 0.05, SRMR = 0.047, RMSEA = 0.076, GFI = 0.91, NFI = 0.98, CFI = 0.98, AGFI = 0.90

PNFI = 0.72, /df = 4.48. Furthermore, employee experience indirectly influenced work engagement through the quality of work life, psychological contracts, and job satisfaction were statistically significant at 0.05, with the influence coefficients of 0.07 and 0.58, respectively. The quality of work life indirectly influenced work engagement through psychological contracts and job satisfaction. It was statistically significant at 0.05 with coefficients of influence equaled to 0.07 and 0.61, respectively. Improving the work engagement of civil servants should focus on developing psychological contracts and job satisfaction along with creating a positive employee experience and good quality of work life which will help civil servants gain more work engagement.
